NOTE to everyone that reads the BTV Message Board:

We have been working on the rules/regulations for the board (oh boy, what fun...) and we are afraid that posting another artists design (unless they have given written permission) is going to be a no-no.

Sorry to do that, but it could be a legal issue for us...hope you all can understand.  We hope to have the rules up by later today.  We will have to go back and delete images that are another artists, unless you have been given written permission.

So, if you have posted a photo that was another artists design, again, you will need to get written permission from them, and have given it to us, before you can post it.

Sorry, hope you all can understand....we should have this established from the beginning, but better late than never!

Hugs, Jamie

And on a side note....

We had no idea of all the rules and regulations that have cropped up on other's boards! Am afraid it is all pretty understandable too. Now they may not be for you, because we have been rule free, for so long, but we have to trust where other boards have been there/done that/got the T-shirt.

Things will be changing just a bit, but we feel better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you all!
Hugs, Jamie

Hi Jamie.  I think we all understand about stepping on others toes(design wise)  But I have a question.  If it is our own design and work, will you permit posting of pictures?

Rules are good Jamie to protect what you have started! Especially to protect you when people start taking advantage of your website...My son is a web site designer and this is the biggest problem they have...you have to protect yourself...it is not an internet situation at this point it is a personal website so I totally dig that you need to set boundaries...good job! I love your designs and just finished up 8 of the santa ornaments! Love them! And I had so much fun painting them! I am now beginning work on the littlest angels for my family for Christmas in memory of our Elisabeth...I hope your dad and Don are doing well...it is hard when your parents age... I am going through the same thing.with my mother in law and my dad...
Loves to you and your are right to set the boundaries...

I understand completely, to be honest I felt a little uncomfortable putting another artists designs on here.  How do you delete the pics that have been added?

Hi everyone, I will answer some notes here:

Dion - of course - if you give yourself permission...lol...then it is perfectly fine!

Lu Ann... - thanks for understanding and agreeing. Wonderful that you are painting the littlest angels in memory of your Elisabeth...I know it will be theraputic also. Dad is hanging in there and Don is taking it a bit easier, getting caught up on work. (Til I give him the next designs....)

Dawn - I am not quite sure how to remove them, we will dig around and find that out (nice of me to say that if I was not sure, hm???) lol I am just sure there is a way.

OK - so I am a "Tad" dense.  You are saying not to show pictures of what we have painted on the message board if it is not one of your designs right?

Hi Diane,

Unless you have the artist's permission to post it - because some artists are very protective of their art and do not like their designs posted on the world wide web (true, believe it or not).   We can't control what others choose to do elsewhere on the internet, but we can at least 'try' to control what is posted on this board. Will try to get those up soon, thanks!

Hugs, Jamie
