Thank you all,
I paint on magnetic sheets that I buy in a sign shop, the type they use for car advertising signs..they are wonderful to paint on and I can change my designs on the milk cans as the seasons come around...The milk cans that you see I use as stools in my kitchen..

| #8 | Jackie, I have to agree...your new paintings are wonderful!
What a great idea to paint it on magnetic sheeting...and then rotate it with the seasons. Smart girl. I hope that you continue to find painting theraputic...keep your chin up!

| #9 | Hi Jackie. Really do love the stuff that you've done. I'm really curious where you got the milk container from? I've been looking and I have yet to be able to find any. Any suggestions you have to offer would be appreciated.
If anyone can make a suggestion, I'd love to hear from you. I hope that's okay Jamie (rules & regs stuff). I hope it's not a No-No. My email is CADouaire@msn.com |

Jackie..Your work is beautiful. so clean and crisp. Do you sell your projects? Your snowman with the quilt vest...I made it into a three foot tall lady snowman. I drilled holes all around the edges and from behind, pushed the small white lights. I also made the frosty. He had the hat. Mrs had vines on her head. Now I have a request for a daughter. she will have a pink hat, and blue eyes. I would like to know how to post pictures. Maria |

I bought about ten milk cans off a young farmer around here as he was selling his dad s place... So I have painted a few for myself and friends and I ve got a few more that I will paint and sell.. This milk can is about half the size ..I ve got Hallowe en on one side , Christmas on the other and then a few different magnet sheets to put over as the season changes..
Maria, Thank you and Yes I do sell some projects , I ve painted alot of milk cans, but I like to paint for gift giving to friends , teachers, family, especially my daughters...

Great work! It makes me feel old and a bit nostalgic to look at these..I was raised on a dairy farm and actually as a lil girl I rolled milk cans into our milkroom to be unloaded into the tank. Our dairy barn burned to the ground the Winter o "79" when I was 17 years old...it was 21 degrees BELOW zero that night. The water lines of the fire trucks froze up! Just had to watch it burn! I'm not even 50 yet but it makes me feel old!! Memories! |
